My first stop was Lyon:

An exhibition of freestyle slalom rollerblading at Place Bellecour - absolutely incredible - check out this link to see what it looks like.  These people were amazingly good.

Next stop - Chateau Martel in Roanne, where the École des trois ponts is located

I rode a bicycle along the canal into the town of Roanne

The school will be moving out of the Chateau Martel this winter and into this house:

There is still a little work to be done before it is ready . . .

The first week there were just two students -

Kathleen (another student from Australia) and Pascal (professor)

The second week we had a lot more company -

From left to right - Rudi (Germany), Helle (Colorado but originally Danish), Gunter (Washington, DC, brother of Rudi), Valerie (professor) and Maria (Spanish, living in London currently) - (lousy photos taken with my cell phone camera, but at least you can see the other students)
